Toaster ovens do more than just toast bread. These home cooking units broil, roast, defrost and reheat different types of food. Baking cakes on this machine is a relatively hassle-free process, although the owner may need to do some minor adjustments.
Toaster ovens are popular home and kitchen cooking appliances, because they save you on energy, and they don’t heat up the whole kitchen in a way that standard ovens often do. Below are some easy-to-follow cake-baking guidelines.
- Prepare all ingredients first. While regular cake mix will work just fine in a toaster, the only thing you need to adjust is the size of the pan. Instead of using a large pan, you can actually divide the batter into four mini cake pans.
- Preheat the oven to 325 degree F, and warm it up for an estimated ten minutes, as well as drench the pans with non-stick cooking spray.
- Mix and pour the cake batter into the pans, and place the pans in the oven for around twenty minutes. Check if the cake is cooked already, by inserting a toothpick in the center. If the toothpick comes out clean, then it’s already cooked.
Once the cake is already baked to perfection, cool and serve it after ten minutes.
