If your kids, and their friends, are at home, would it be nice to serve
them hamburgers and fries for snack time? Toaster ovens are great for broiling burgers, as well as fish, poultry and other meats. All you need to do is prepare and season ¼ pound burger patties, and then broil the burger for at least 12 minutes.
Here’s how to cook burgers on a toaster oven.
In broiling burgers on a toaster oven, first set the appliance to its highest broil setting, and allow it to heat up. Next, coat a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray, and put the burger patties on the sheet. Now, place the burger patties in the fully-heated oven. The tray must be 3 to 4 inches from the heating device.
Once you place the burger patties inside the oven, cook them for 3 minutes, and then rotate to 90 degrees. Cook the other side for another 3 minutes, and then flip the patties. Broil the burgers for another 6 minutes on the new side, and rotate the patties midway in the cooking time. It would be helpful if you use a thermometer, to safely check if the burgers are already well-done.
Broiled hamburgers are also best served with onion, tomato, pickles, cheese, bacon and other condiments. For more tasty toaster oven recipes, always visit Cooking with Your Toaster Oven today.
